icctld Fast Track Process
Yes, we’re open for business.
ICANN’s IDN cctld Fast Track Process is successfully launched on November 16th, 2009. Today, that is.
The ICANN blog reports that the organization has received 6 requests from countries/territories, representing 3 different languages.
It will be interesting to see which countries or territories apply for the fast track process during the opening day. Besides China and Russia of course, the two sure bets.
For clarification purposes, during the IDN cctld Fast Track process, countries and territories will be able to apply for a cctld representative of their language, in that script.
