<p>Glad to see more countries coming out of the gate. Hopefully we&#8217;ll see more in the next few days since it was mentioned that there were 15 applications in the cue for evaluation.</p>
<p>Added.</p>
<p><strong>China</strong>, <strong>Hong Kong</strong>, <strong>Palestinian Territory</strong>, <strong>Qatar</strong> and <strong>Sri Lanka</strong> added to the list of countries/territories to pass string evaluation.</p>

<p>The <a title="IDN cctld fast track" href="http://blog.icann.org/2009/11/fast-track-status-update/">ICANN blog</a> reports that the organization has received 6 requests from countries/territories, representing 3 different languages.</p>
<p>It will be interesting to see which countries or territories apply for the fast track process during the opening day. Besides China and Russia of course, the two sure bets.</p>
<p>For clarification purposes, during the IDN cctld Fast Track process, countries and territories will be able to apply for a cctld representative of their language, in that script.</p>
