Latest reported IDN sales

Just to keep everyone -including myself- updated, here are the latest reported IDN domain sales

Küchengeräte.org    $2,693 [ kitchen appliances in German]

Kö.de  €5,300 = $7,950

Öv.de  $3,675

もしもし.com    $3,188 [ Hello in Japanese ]

möbel-profi.de  $1,650 [ A company goes by that name in Germany ]

These were reported at DnJournal as part of their weekly domain sales. It would be nice if DNJ would provide translations next to IDNs and foreign language domains in general, to help the ‘ASCII crowd’ form a general idea as to what is going on. I used google translate for a quick translation and for Kö it gives Que in Swedish, whereas for Öv it gives belts in Hungarian. I assume the buyer[s] went for the two character domains regardless of the meaning.

Notice I’ve placed the  dot org on top even if the sales price was one of the lowest. It tells a lot about the German domain aftermarket and the German public’s comfort level in regards to domains in general. It’s  well established that German domain professionals have no bias in regard to hyphenated domains.

Keep in mind that in most probability, there were other sales which were not reported or did not make the minimum sales threshold to appear on DNJ’s domain sales report.
